| Another double game at PL this weekend with AFC live on Sky Saturday lunchtime & us on Sunday (not on sky as far as i know) . With another wet week ahead & likely wet game day, conditions underfoot won't be great.
Should be a good match up with Oldham & after a couple of games now working on our combinations etc we have enough to see them off.
As BT said elsewhere, our tee kicking doesn't look as reliable as Smith last year sadly.

| Fancy us for this game but won’t be easy. Hope we get a decent crowd to keep the momentum going.

| Not that i'm so sad I've been counting the unavailable dots on the stadium ticketing site, but excluding the 2 ends it's showing 4 block in East stand no available seats & West stand quite well populated. You would think it could be another 4k crowd.
With a new Chief Operating Officer & Ticketing Manager appointed in the last week, things very much on the up. Hope they continue with the live streaming otherwise there is only 2 Saturday night games I'll get to as things stand.

| It shows the completely different expectations I have this year that I'm moaning after a 25-8 win. But we need a reliable goal kicker.

| Big physical side Oldham. We had to dig in and the result only became clear after about 70 minutes. Could have gone either way. Tindal a better option than Nchambe in my opinion. Not sure about Voro. RCG is a feisty player. I can see him taking a couple of early baths this season. Max, Mathias and Hawkins all did well. I think Wallis offers quite a bit.

Not sure about Voro. I was questioning whether this was the same bloke I saw on his highlights reel....He'll be amazing from now on and make me look like an idiot. Hopefully.

| Atmosphere a bit flat today. They need to do more to gee up the crowd before kick off.
Attendance down to 1500ish.Posh seats sply populated.Thought the 4300 Widnes figure was at least a thousand out but still encouraging.Just think it’s going to be hard during these winter months to get people in.
Playing weaker opposition on Saturday evenings will be interesting

| I’ve given up trying to open a new thread but I noted that despite our two good wins against decent opposition that we were third. Delving a little deeper I can see Newcastle are second and haven’t played at home yet. Not sure bout Barrow’s chances but looking at Thunder’s fixture list they seem to only have Batley and Halifax as ‘real’ Championship opposition. Bolstered by York squad players including the excellent Smith late of this parish, they could be a decent bet to win the league leaders shield although I suspect the play offs will see them off and the grand final will be out of their reach. Funny old system for who plays who.

Playing weaker opposition on Saturday evenings will be interesting Yes I thought 4000+ was stretching it a bit but it was a decent crowd. (As I understand it it’s a RL thing to exaggerate crowd size and I’m happy to go along with it). I suspect today’s crowd was around 1000/1.2k. Agreed there were less in hospitality and in the corner areas where I assume the free(ish) tickets were against Widnes. Was quite a few families though which is positive and a decent game is more likely to bring them back than the slop we served up last time we did a reboot. Hopefully the Bulls game gets a big crowd. 4000 would be great.
