just been to my weekly spanish class at flanshaw library and the first think that we received was a letter from lisa d dodd (service director - sport and culture) explaining that due to costs involved at the library it was being shut from the end of december. THANKS for the notice period. quite a few people use this library who will now be inconvenienced greatly.
i note that dodd is the sports and culture director good for nothing at the council.

She'll be spending all her time on the make believe, pie in the sky, state of the art, swimming pool that we'll never ever get.

What do you expect. Since the Metropolitan reorganisation in 1974 our City has been controlled by people who do not live in Wakefield and have no interest in it.

The best thing that could happen for everyone would be for Wakefield to return to its City status and those wards to the East of the District to look after themselves.

do they do anger management as a course too?

We have to spare a thought for the 2 avid wakey fans who work in library who now have an uncertain future due to the council

I thought every library was free, so even if they are packed out with users every hour of the day it is of no financial significance.

Yes but by using your logic no one bothers to go swimming in Wakey so why do we need a pool

one library here we are talking and less than a mile from balne lane library???

maybe just maybe they will move the books there??
