Hopefully the takeover will be sorted out and the club moves into some exciting times.
Great team on the paddock, great coach and new owners who will be digging deep to fund the hopes and dreams of many.
Are you prepared to commit that £5 or £10 a week to help these guys form a great future?

Thanks JIC ,we are all doing our best in raising funds ,its never easy , but like like you say the LISA Reps are working hard ,anybody can help them ,just volunteer ,or come up with another moneyspinner.

Grow up, please. This isnt anything to do with LISA/Corporate Club/ Lottery/Half Time Draw etc who all contribute to our club - its about extra revenue streams needed to service ambition and keep OUR club moving forward.

AS superleigh lottery member, Lisa member and Forcast coupon entries,programmes purchaser, half time draw ticket, poker buy in my commitment is more then that as it is.
As is Frank B, The Carlois and many more of us.

What we need IMHO is new investment.

You did read the post before? New investment really means more income, the low hanging fruit is from the converted, conversion takes longer.
As Starbug once said, the money Leigh fans spent going to Toulouse would have come to tens of thousands the club could have used for the benefit of the club, 5000 fans travelling away over the season costs £150k plus in gate/travel/beer/food that money fills the gap we currently have.
People have a choice, if it means 400 folk dont travel away anymore because their money keeps the club going then I am sure they would make that call - we need to become very selfish and keeping our club alive and moving forward must be at the top for all fans - no matter what they can afford. Putting £6k into Batley comes a very distant second.

I think you will find the club have said the fans are their 18th man, would they be happy running out at Batley with no fans in attendance really?
The Toulouse thing I agree with, the cost of the trip and spending money spent would make a big difference and Im sure the club could excuse one game were few fans attend.

If it was a choice of having the option to have a team or not I am sure the choice is clearer.

So the club have said there wont be a club and they prefer us not to travel to York / Batley etc etc , when/if they do this Im sure people will respond, but people wont because you say so.

I have been saying the same thing for years Maurice, its OK us being one of the better supported clubs in this division but when other teams 'fans' do not reciprocate......
Im sure if Starbugs plans were put to other clubs re travelling fans and who pays we all know what the answer would be - and for what its worth I think its a cracking idea.

And when people stop travelling to away games, they realise there are other things to do on a Sunday and then back in the trap of missing the odd home game, which then becomes missing most home games ad infinitum. Very dangerous game to play.

As for Toulouse, it's my summer holiday. If there was some pledge from everyone not to go then the money would just be spent on going elsewhere on holiday rather than to Leigh RL. Likewise with any 'saved' money from not going to away games and then having nowt to do on a Sunday afternoon.

Let's be realistic about these things.
