I like the idea of the 40m tap rule. I think it stops half backs booting the ball dead to get an easy start on the 20m. It also produces more returns from full back, which is one of the more exciting passages of play in the game.
Like all three rules. They promote skill and reward effort. Why should a team get the benefit of back to 6 when a poor kick has been charged down?. Why should a team just thump a kick down field with no thought or skill? All 3 worth a go!
