All they need to do is put padding on the floor around the run off areas so people do not hit the concrete. Similar to the padding around the posts, just put it round the entire perimeter of the pitch. That would stop people sliding over or doing a Vatuvei and landing on it; plus the padding will take the speed off you so you didn't hit the advertising screens at the end as well.
To play on a raised pitch with steeply sloping edges is not ideal for rugby...there must be more suitable high capacity grounds without a moat round the pitch.
Yes, it's not the first time a player has been hurt crashing into the hoardings at OT and it needs looking at.
Going back to the Fergie "Don't mess up the pitch" era, OT have often shown scant respect for RL events at OT but they have a responsibility for player safety and should be told as much.
