Villa spring Liverpool’s offside trap and John McGinn and Ollie Watkins race after a through ball. The ref, who is chasing after them alongside Liverpool’s Van Dijk suddenly shouts “You’re offside John” to McGinn who is winning the race for the ball. He slows down and becomes passive on the advice from the ref. Watkins collects the ball and smashes it  past the keeper to win the trophy for Villa. Do you honestly think that Van Dijk and Liverpool would honestly accept the referee coaching Villa to European glory ?
