The Dentist Wilf:Having watched that a couple of thoughts! After the Wigan game we're not there yet far from it, but there has to be a lot of cause for optimism. The bottle throwing yobs from across the river (and try as they may the Rovers fans have to admit that there's where the issue is) might have deprived the honest dedicated passionate Rovers fans from getting into the game but just watch the Derby tickets fly out the ticket office now!!! Simply on the principle that win or lose, Well be having a go!! When you've been around or even in love with a club for years and years as many of us on here have been you tend to push the great times and great games to one side as you remember what went wrong and how crap we can be, our adversity on and off the field, those annual consecutive defeats and the massive disappointments we have endured, you almost have to drag yourself back to 2016, Cardiff, Old Trafford at the turn of the 1990's and Wembley 2017 to feel and indeed remember that glow of pride. For such reasons when things look to be on the up we are basically all glass half full a bit and even after a wonderful night like last Saturday such negative thoughts still haunt these pages and it only takes one set back to see us all back there again in the gloom. Just like on a game basis when we are 18 points up with ten minutes to go, you just want it to end because you still have that nagging feeling of knowing what COULD happen because this is Hull FC isn't it? But perhaps that the rationale we all have. Yet watching that interview with Myler really does give me hope for the future on the field and more importantly for me some hope of a team to watch and continue to follow for the rest of my life. We have seen a reformed level headed guy who has been there done that and that has more of a dubious backstory that even I have, who is absolutely in there for us and the club and basically gets it. Add to that multi Millionaire owners one of whom loves the game has an encyclopedic knowledge of it, but who is now so bound up in it all, that he's not too proud to be out there on the pitch at the end and dancing (manically) to old Faithful in the sheds afterwards and. group of players that have been purposely integrated with the fans by Myler to the point that they are once again connected to us all. For me even more than that performance that's all so heartening and gives us an environment that we can all enjoy and indeed feel a bit more comfortable in. Great interview and very reassuring. No doubt having said all that Wakey will roll us on Friday but for me that interview just cemented the fact that the stepping stones are in place and we can all rest a bit easier. And anyway as for Wakey well, as I say, this is Hull FC were talking about. amen

| Putting together a big pack is all well and done, but there is still a lack of quality to compliment it in the backs. Just hoping we can sign a good three-quarter and maybe another half back. I don't mind Cust, but I think he's more suited as an interchange nine, but then I'd worry about Balmforth, who I rate highly. I'm sure the powers that be are doing all they can to move us forward recruitment wise.

| First job in rugby get a good pack .. Without that you win nowt ....Am sure the powers to be will know we need some backs to ...But it is a rebuild ..... We are definitely going in the right direction..... All most of us asked this year was a team that gives it's all and didn't collapse...We have that... Yes we are struggling now but that was to be expected given the injuries to key players .....

| Absolutely we're a re-build, I'm looking beyond next season before we hopefully start to reap any rewards. There's a new found fight in the side which is all we could have hoped for. In Cartwright and Co we trust..
